Kelly grew up with an older sister who was Deaf and was exposed to the local Deaf community from an early age.  She began her career as an interpreter in the mid 1980’s when she passed Kentucky’s Quality Assurance screening.  She became RID certified in 1997 with CT, then in 1998 with RID CI and NAD Level IV.  Currently,  she is a Candidate for SC:L through RID.

Kelly has been married for 36 years with 2 grown children, 5 grandbabies and 3 furbabies.
